Area: 41,980 sq ft/ 3.900 sq m

Bio-safety laboratories involve technical design and material standards in order to maintain a clean and bacteria-free environment. Rounded corners and non-porous materials, for instance, prevent the build up of bacteria and dust while enabling easy cleaning. This project centered on a bio-safety laboratory used to develop pharmaceutical products and vaccines for farm, domestic and wild animals.

In addition to the laboratory space, the building program included a warehouse, dressing rooms, bathrooms and administration offices. Luciana Varkulja managed the drawings related to the laboratory layout, implementing construction details for the building interiors. During construction administration phase, she also conducted on-site construction supervision, creating environmental and safety reports.
